Color Trends for 2012
Color is one of the easiest ways to update a bedroom interior design, whether it's a master bedroom design or a guest bedroom design. That being said, there are a number of hues that will be trendy for 2012. Black and white color palettes are back with a vengeance in 2012 and pair well with bold or subtle pops of colors.
Look for color palettes that create a dramatic effect, as these are most trendy for the upcoming 2012 year. Keep in mind that painting a room is only a temporary change and if you decide you don't like the hue, you can always repaint! Paint is an inexpensive, easy way to update the look and feel of any bedroom design.
Golden hues will also be quite popular for 2012. Warm shades, including mustard yellow, brilliant marigold and sunny sunflower hues will all be making their way into the interior design world.
Simple Geometric Shapes
While you likely can't remodel your bedroom's existing layout to reflect this trendy geometric pattern, there are plenty of ways to incorporate this trend into your space. Look for geometric patterns on mirrors, bedding and other basic accessories for your design. Mirrors of any style pair well with the black and white color palette, but will also pair well with any dramatic or subdued color palette, making the mirror a great accessory choice.
Of course, the geometric trend doesn't just apply to mirrors. For all of your bedroom design updates, look for clean lines and basic geometric shaping.
